University of Anbar achieves first place among Iraqi public universities and advances significantly globally in the famous British Times Sustainable Development Rankings
University of Anbar achieved a distinguished scientific achievement by obtaining first place in Iraq after it made a distinguished leap globally by rising to the category (601–800) among international universities within the British Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2025, which is considered one of the most important international rankings that measure the extent of universities’ commitment to the goals.Sustainable development approved by the United Nations, which numbers (17) goals.
On this occasion, the President of University, Professor Dr.Mushtaq Talib Saleh Al-Nada, blessed all the university’s employees with this advanced position, stressing that this achievement reflects the university’s readiness and actual commitment to the concepts of resource sustainability and development in a way that ensures their preservation for future generations, noting that the Times Ranking is considered one of the most sober and reliable Rankings in this field. Praising at the same time the vital role played by the World Rankings Unit in the presidency of the University, and its keenness to highlight the university’s achievements in a way that ensures it maintains its distinguished position among international universities.This qualitative progress reflects the scale of the scientific, societal and environmental efforts made by the university, within a clear vision that seeks to strengthen Its international position and consolidating its role as a responsible academic institution that contributes effectively to achieving sustainable development goals at the local and global levels.
